Dune

Arcachon is too famous for the "Dune du Pilat"

Situated in the entry of the bay of Arcachon, in front of the point of the Cap Ferret, the Dune of Pilat constitute the most important sandy formation of Europe. With its 105 meters of top, 2700 meters long, 500 meters wide. The big dune remains the site the most frequented by recording more than 1 million visitors a year. It was classified "Big national site" in 1978.
